Only a painting
can capture the unique qualities of that moment in time with lasting
qualities that will be with you always. The infinite range of colours
and permanence of rich living soft pastel pigments that change their
hue with the time of day and the season can never be reproduced by photographs,
prints or computer images. A painting then becomes a 'living' piece
of art that can be enjoyed ..... forever!
What will it cost? the first
question always asked!
The standard price
for a head study of your pet is £250 (€260 euros) and the
same for a small landscape or still life. This will be placed in a suitable
mount to fit in a standard frame size of 10" x 12" or 12"
x 14" depending on the study. The cost of larger pictures to be
negotiated.
What do I need to do? . . . comes
next!
For pet portraits,
you will need to supply a good photograph, either colour or black and
white ~ several photographs are always helpful.
Colour is often
very inaccurate in photographs, for this reason I would like to meet
your pet to confirm the colour and those vital characteristics that
will make this picture extra special to you.
No photo's ~ no
problem, I can take these for you and you can choose the view you would
like of your pet.
Most
landscape paintings are resourced on location (depending where they
are an extra charge may be made), however a location photograph can
be useful.
But I don't live in your area?
… no problem!
This is where
technology comes in ~ I will email you the image at various stages for
your approval, firstly in the drawing stage so you can decide on the
image/view you prefer, then when I feel the piece is complete for your
comments and approval.
You are
under no obligation to accept the painting until you are entirely happy

Commissions
include several official portraits of top Crufts Champion dogs and lots
of pet dogs, cats and horses, many views and landscapes, floral studies
and abstracts ~ these can be found in locations throughout the UK, Europe,
USA, Canada and Australia.
