Painting in the Charente Maritime
A new approach to painting holidays … flexibility
We
are now in France instead of me coming to you perhaps you would like to
experience painting in the diverse region of the Charente Maritime. We
have both a wonderful climate and incredible scenery from the Atlantic
Coast to rolling hills, vineyards and sunflowers. We are 15 minutes from
Saintes and a little longer from Cognac, 40 minutes from the coast, 900
metres from the Charente and surrounded by farmland and vineyards and
lots of quirky corners. The village is very quiet so you can paint to
your hearts content. For those who enjoy painting buildings, Chaniers
(4 km) has some superb interesting architecture too.
What makes my courses different?
Rather
than prescriptive courses and dates, you can book from just one day or
as many days tuition as you would like. Why not incorporate a few days
painting whilst visiting the region
Course participants: minimum 2 - maximum 5 … this allows plenty of individual tuition
What this means for you
- You have the opportunity of working and studying with an experienced, qualified practicing artist to help you achieve your aims in painting and art
- Up to 6 hours personal and group tuition each day
- Demonstrations and handouts, a small supply of studio materials eg soft pastel, acrylic, water soluble oils, watercolours, charcoal etc available for your use.
- Light lunch, morning coffee and afternoon tea provided
- Use of studio facilities, including easels, boards, and sundries from 09.00 - 21.00 hours
- Resources for Still Life, also photographs, book, DVD and video references
- Many locations for pleine aire painting, village, river, coast
